Oregon SurgiCenter has a Medical Business Office Manager opportunity available.

Oregon Urology Institute and Oregon SurgiCenter is one of the largest, most advanced urological centers in the Northwest. Oregon Urology Institute provides patients with some of the region's finest medical experts covering every major urological specialty using proven and leading-edge technologies. Oregon SurgiCenter is an outpatient surgery center devoted to urologic procedures.

This hands-on position will supervise all the business office functions of the physician owned SurgiCenter to include staff management, billing, coding, collections, insurance verification and pre-authorization, registration, medical records, credentialing, and regulatory oversight.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervises the non-clinical team:
  • Patient billing and reimbursement.
  • Ensures optimum reimbursement for ambulatory surgery services through accurate reporting.
  • Assures Timely submission of all insurance claims and adjustments.
  • Directly supervises accounts receivable.
  • Oversees collections internal and outsource to agency.
  • Supervises the patient registration process.
  • Oversees medical records/Health Information management.
  • Has regulatory oversight in coordination with the Clinical Director.
  • Generates monthly reports and ensures their accuracy.
  • Problem solve and improve efficiency to all areas of the surgery center.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Experience supervising a business office and billing team.
  • Strong Practice Management and EMR software skills
  • Strong understanding of medical insurance, coding, and billing practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of HIPAA compliance, medical laws, regulations, and ethics.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Must be flexible and a quick learner.
  • High school diploma
  • Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent Computer skills.
  • Well organized self-starter

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

  • Associates degree or higher
  • Certified Coder
  • Ambulatory Surgery Center billing experienced preferred.
  • Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 preferred.

This is a full-time position. No nights or weekends. The Business Office Manager roles generally starts between $62,000 to $77,000 Annually DOE.
